Liebster Award
I was nominated for a Liebster Award by the lovely Tracey over at Tracey's Beauty. I only started this blog this past weekend and Tracey gave me a very warm welcome into the blogging world which was lovely, so you should all go check out her page. The Liebster Award gives new blogs, like mine, a chance to get introduced into the blog scene and it also gives a great opportunity to interact with other bloggers.
The Rules
- Link the blogger that nominated you
- Choose 11 bloggers to nominate who have less than 200 followers
- Answer the 11 questions you have been given
- Let the bloggers you have chosen know that they have been nominated
- You cannot nominate the person who nominated you
- Create 11 new questions for the people you have chosen
My Questions:
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Right now I have the biggest desire ever to live in Australia for a couple of years on a working holiday visa. I have a few amazing friends over there who I haven't seen in around 3 years so it would be great to live in the same country as them for a while. I also need a break from this wet and windy Scottish weather!
Name one make up item you have been lusting over, but haven't bitten the bullet yet?
I think the main one I am lusting over is Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I have never owned a high end foundation and this one has had some great reviews.
Do you have a middle name, if so what is it?
My middle name is Iona, yet another Scottish island!
If you had paid everything you needed too and had 20 pound left, what would you buy?
Not going to lie I would probably order a Dominos...pizza is life for me.
What do you find yourself looking for most on youtube since starting your blog?
I haven't even had this blog for week so I can't really give a proper answer. I would say just more of the same beauty related and lifestyle vlogs.
How long do you spend on your blog (hours) each week?
Again, I can't really answer this question properly as I haven't even been blogging for a week. I'm such a newbie!
What would you say your best bargain was?
Hmm, I would probably say recently I got a few bargains in the Zara sale. I got a skirt I had previously wanted reduced down from £25 to £4 which was pretty good.
How often do you find yourself looking at make up online and in store?
I honestly look at make up everyday online, such an addiction!
If you were sent to an island name four things (not people) you would take ( no internet or phone allowed?)
Oh this is a hard question as I don't know where about the island would be?! I'm going to say a good warm jacket as I don't want to freeze to death, a good book - I am currently reading the first game of thrones book so that should keep me occupied for a while,a picture of my friends/family and maybe a swiss army knife?! That might come in useful...
How many lipsticks do you own?
30 if any aren't hiding!
If you had to be ready for 7:00am what time would you wake up at?
I love sleeping so I tend to leave getting up as late as possible but I would probably say I would try for 6am...whether I actually get up at that time is a completely different story!
Bloggers I nominate:
Alana @ alanagetshealthy.blogspot.co.uk/
Charlotte @ www.surelychar.co.uk/
Chloe @ shimmerlashes-x.blogspot.co.uk
Sophie @ sophiesbooksandbeauty.blogspot.co.uk/
Camila @ humanelychic.blogspot.co.uk
Lucee @ lifewithlucee.blogspot.co.uk
Kenzie @ lemonaidlies.blogspot.co.uk
Casey @ caseybee.blogspot.co.uk
Sarah @ secretsfromsarahx.blogspot.co.uk
Vanessa @ hausofhaul.blogspot.co.uk
Oni @ oniswardrobe.blogspot.co.uk
All of the above blogs are wonderful and well worth a look and a follow. These ladies have inspired me to work harder on my blog as it can be as great as theirs!
My Questions:
How long have you had your blog for?
What is your favourite brand of make up?
What is your favourite aspect of blogging?
What is your go to hair style?
If money was no object where would your next holiday be?
Do you have any holy grail products, and if so what are they?
Do you have any hobbies outside blogging?
What are your goals for 2014?
What was your last big purchase?
What beauty product are you lusting after right now?
What would your last ever meal be if you could choose anything?
So that's me completed the rules for the Liebster Award. If anyone I have nominated doesn't have time/want to carry it on then that is totally fine and I won't be offended, I understand it is quite a time consuming post. Although I personally would highly recommend it as a great way to get into the blogging community.
Thanks for reading!

Revlon Lip Butters Review
WARNING: After
this blog post you may become addicted to Revlon Lip Butters, don’t say I
didn’t try and warn you!
Revlon Lip Butters
have been a staple in my make-up bag ever since they hit make-up stands
nationwide in the UK last year. If you haven’t tried them yet I urge you to
pick one (or maybe even two…) up next time you are shopping, they are honestly
unlike any lip product you will have tried before!
New Year, New Beginnings
So you seem to have stumbled upon my brand new beauty blog...this post is here to give you a warm welcome into my beauty world!
For years I have been a distant admirer of beauty/fashion blogs and I have wanted to dive in and give it ago for quite some time now. Over the new year I found the motivation and courage to start up my very own one for a number of reasons.
A couple of months ago as part of a job interview I was asked to submit my very own blog post as part of the application process. The blog post could be on anything I wanted, so naturally I made it a make up review post (which will be my first post on this blog as well). I loved the creative process and the chance to waffle on about one of my passions and whilst I didn't get the job the experience sparked the desire to start off my very own beauty blog. I enjoyed the process of expressing my creative side and the chance to speak about what really interests me.
I also think that creating and growing a blog would really help me learn more about the world wide web. The internet is such a vast space and whilst I use it extensively every day I feel that creating and managing a blog will give me some useful skills in this area which I am looking forward to developing.
Overall the main purpose of this blog is to let me witter on about all things beauty related without having to bore to death my poor friends and flat mate any more, who are probably already sick of me talking about the subject the whole time! I hope you enjoy reading my blog and I am looking forward to speaking to fellow beauty lovers and joining the beauty blogging community.
